Local Telecom Cable
After the installation of local cable (Laying, Splicing and Terminating), the cables has been tested as follows or as directed by the engineer. Test Procedure and Data Record are described in this report.
INSULATION RESISTANCE.
Test Purpose
The purpose of this test is to confirm the insulation of each conductor.
Specification :
Insulation Resistance : not less than 5000 Mohms.Km
Test Configuration
Refer to fig I.1
Test Equipment
KYORITSU 3005 A
Test Procedure :
Set up the measuring equipment as shown on fig I.1 ( Insulation resistance test configuration), measure the insulation resistance between conductor of each pair and the between conductor and shield of cable.
Record the measurement to the attached TEST DATA SHEET, after calculate the length of cable.
CONDUCTOR RESISTANCE
Test Purpose :
The purpose of this test is to confirm the loop resistance of each pair
Specification :
Conductor resistance : not more than 29.0 Ohm/Km.
Test Configuration
Refer to fig I.2
Test Equipment
KYORITSU 3005A
Test Procedure
Set up the measuring equipment as shown on fig I.2 ( Conductor resistance test configuration), measure the loop resistance of conductor for every pairs of cable.
Record the measurement to the attached TEST DATA SHEET, after calculate the length of cable.
